Control memory in hindi
सामन्यतया एक microprogrammed control unit कंप्यूटर में दो मैमोरी होती हैं. एक main memory, दूसरी control memory.
वह memory जो control unit का part होती है उसे कंट्रोल मैमोरी कहते है.
कंट्रोल मैमोरी एक प्रकार की ROM (Read only memory) होती है जो कि addressable storage registers को स्टोर किये रहती है.
दूसरे शब्दों में कहें तो, “कंट्रोल मैमोरी microprogrammed control unit में एक storage होता है जो microprogram को स्टोर करता है.”
कंट्रोल मैमोरी में data हमेशा के लिए (permanently) स्टोर होता है. कंट्रोल मैमोरी को main memory से अधिक तेजी से access कर सकते है जिसके कारण यह processor के operations (कार्यों) की गति को तेज कर देता है.
इसका ज्यादातर प्रयोग mini और mainframe computers में किया जाता है. इसका प्रयोग data को permanently स्टोर करने के लिए किया जाता है.
control memory addresses दो भागों में विभाजित होते है:- पहला task mode और दूसरा executive (interrupt) mode.
कंट्रोल मैमोरी में 5 से अधिक register groups होते है. ये ग्रुप programmed cpu operations के लिए register को select करते है. programmed cpu operations के समय इन registers को सीधे cpu logic से access किया जा सकता है. data routing circuits का प्रयोग कंट्रोल मैमोरी के द्वारा registers को आपस में connect करने के लिए किया जाता है.
नीचे कुछ registers दिए गये है जो task और interrupt modes में operate होते है:-
- accumulators
- indexes
- monitor clock status indicating registers
- interrupt data registers
