आजकल market में बहुत सारें testing tools उपलब्ध है. Software testing को या तो manually किया जाता है या फिर automated testing tools की मदद से किया जाता है.
manual टेस्टिंग में, test cases को जनरेट किया जाता है, software को execute किया जाता है और result को manually ही record किया जाता है. इस प्रक्रिया में बहुत समय लगता है और इसका cost भी बहुत अधिक होता है. इसलिए cost और time को कम करने के लिए हम testing tools का इस्तेमाल करते है.
tools का selection इस बात पर निर्भर करता है कि आपके project की requirement क्या है एक tool एक से ज्यादा test activities को support कर सकता है. कुछ test tools free भी उपलब्ध होते है और कुछ paid होते है. लेकिन free tools की कुछ सीमायें होती है. आप अपनी जरूरत के हिसाब से paid tools को purchase कर सकते हो.
types of testing tools in hindi
इसके निम्नलिखित प्रकार होते हैं:-
- test management tool
इनका प्रयोग test को manage करने, schedule करने, defect logging, tracking तथा analysis में किया जाता है. इसका प्रयोग केवल testers के द्वारा ही किया जाता है.
- configuration management tool
इनका इस्तेमाल test को implement करने, execute करने, और tracking में बदलाव करने के लिए किया जाता है. इसका प्रयोग सभी team members कर सकते है.
- static analysis tools
static टेस्टिंग में इसका use होता है. इन टूल्स का इस्तेमाल developers करते हैं.
- test data preparation tools
इसका इस्तेमाल analysis, design, और test data को उत्पन्न करने के लिए किया जाता है. इन टूल्स का प्रयोग testers के द्वारा किया जाता है.
- test execution tools
implementation और execution में इसका use किया जाता है. इनका use testers के द्वारा किया जाता है.
- test comparators
जो expected result होते है उनको actual (वास्तविक) result से compare करने के लिए इनका use होता है. सभी team members इनका प्रयोग कर सकते है.
- coverage measurement टूल्स
यह structural coverage प्रदान करता है. इसका use, developers के द्वारा किया जाता है.
- performance testing टूल्स
performance को monitor करने के लिए तथा response time को check करने के लिए इसका प्रयोग होता है. इसका use, testers के द्वारा होता है.
- project planning and tracking
इसका इस्तेमाल planning में होता है. project managers के द्वारा इसका इस्तेमाल होता है.
- incident management tools
tests को मैनेज करने के लिए इसका use किया जाता है. इसका प्रयोग testers के द्वारा किया जाता है.

1:- IBM Rational quality manager
इसका प्रयोग project schedules के automation, online test management को track करने, online library को maintain करने, और customer releases को track करने आदि के लिए किया जाता है.

2:- TestLink
यह एक web पर आधारित test management टूल है जो कि software की quality को टेस्ट करता है. यह टूल test cases, test plans, user management के साथ साथ reports और statistics को भी सपोर्ट करता है. इसके द्वारा हम आसानी से test cases को import और export कर सकते है. test cases को बहुत सारें users को assign करने का यह सबसे आसान method है.

3:- Squish
Squish एक GUI test automation टूल है. इसका प्रयोग पूरे विश्व में 3000 से ज्यादा कंपनियाँ regression tests और system tests के automation के लिए use करती है.
यह सभी प्रमुख GUI technologies को सपोर्ट करता है. तथा यह सभी desktop, mobile, web और embedded प्लेटफार्म को सपोर्ट करता है.
4:- CrossBrowserTesting
Cross-browser-testing यह सुनिश्चित करता है कि web applications या website सभी browsers पर सही ढंग से कार्य कर रहा है. इसके द्वारा हम automated tests को एक साथ run कर सकते है और screenshots को compare कर सकते है.
इसमें हम एक समय में बहुत सारें devices पर tests को run कर सकते है.
5:- QTP
quick test professional (QTP) एक automated functional GUI टेस्टिंग टूल है जिसके द्वारा हम web और client पर आधारित computer application का automation कर सकते है. इसका सबसे ज्यादा प्रयोग functional regression testing के automation के लिए किया जाता है.
यह application के objects और controls को manipulate करने के लिए एक scripting language का इस्तेमाल करता है. QTP को नए testers आसानी से सीख सकते है
